The girls doing the Arts Award programme had a creative evening this week when textile artist Glenn Close came in to work with them on creating a piece of art using batik. They made their own designs inspired by the beautiful textiles Glenn brought in to show them. Then they learned how to use the hot wax to protect areas of the fabric from the dyes which were then applied with a fine brush to create some wonderful pieces.
