Year 9 at the Steelbacks Study Centre

Year 9 students began attending kic.in2.study at the Steelbacks Study Centre this week.  They will be taking part in a “Steelbacks world tour” over ten weeks – each week we will focus on one of ten cricketing nations.

This week the students looked at England – they practised a traditional English greeting by shaking hands with each other, completed an on line quiz testing their knowledge about England and enjoyed a number based tour of the stadium focusing on cricket facts.  They then heard a little about the tradition of afternoon tea before enjoying scones and jam, and tea from china tea cups, before wishing Val a happy birthday by helping her out with the lovely cake Helena had made.

Next time our focus will be Sri Lanka..
